Description

    Kolette looked back at her stomach and worried at it with her muzzle. Her foal had been kicking and moving in her belly and somehow - deep inside she knew that her foal would be coming soon. Fear traveled along her spine and ribs, but excitement warmed her chest and heart. Soon she would have a little foal to look after!
    Pain settled into her though, and not just from the kick her foal delivered. Her little foal wouldn't know its father - at least not at first. She wanted to find Ajax and show him their foal when it was old enough for the journey but she didn't even know where she would begin or where to look for Ajax. She just hoped their paths would cross again.
    Something inside of her changed and pain suddenly radiated through her body. She took a gasping breath - started - and quickly found Daewen at her side.
    "It's time, isn't it?" Daewen asked.
    Kolette nodded quickly.
    "I'll come with you if you want - but if you don't I'll just be nearby." Daewen offered.
    Kolette wasn't sure, so she just nodded, and before she knew what was happening Daewen was leading her off.
