quick note: if you are wondering why I submitted the Normandy-III before the Normandy-II it's because why not so yeah...

The Normandy-II unlike it's successor is not as well armed but it was slightly bigger than it's predecessor the Normandy-I, and was slightly more armed. The Normandy-II was actually planned much earlier but due to small (but significant) increase of unknown ships entering Orion Spur Alliance territory the majority of those were claimed either as lost, seeking refuge, smugglers or pirates escaping some unknown threat, the Normandy-II project was delayed so that the Orion Spur Alliance could more resources on apprehending and engaging these ships around 30-34 ABY. The First Order when they invaded the Orion Spur Alliance (and created the Orion Front) the Normandy-II project was even further delayed, however this resulted in a much better developed ship with the technologies put into it also put into the Normandy-III. When the Normandy-II finally was deployed 5 AFW (After First Order War), the Normandy-II was put into an escort role for larger battles ships such as the Legion-Class Heavy Star Destroyer all they way up to the infamous God-Class Super Star Destroyer as well as it' own command ship for several fleets. the Normandy-II, if it weren't for the Black Sun Syndicate trying to forcibly enter Orion Spur Alliance space, would've never seen any action and probably be for absolutely nothing except pave the way for the Normandy-IIIs and be scrapped. However with continuous activity from the Black Sun gave the Normandy-II a place as a border defence ship and with it's advanced engines, it could chase down smaller corvettes, cruisers and carriers, as well as destroy nearby Black Sun Imperial-Is and IIs (in my head canon they would've gotten their hands on several Star Destroyers). Which in return.... caused them to financially (partially) collapse within a large area (basically the part of the Outer Rim closest to the Orion Spur Alliance's Border) and gave them a problem that they would never financially recover from (Yup, i did a thing where literally the BIGGEST crime syndicate in Star Wars suffers from something very large). The Normandy-II soon earned the role of hunting down Black Sun bases in between New Republic territory and Orion Spur Alliance territory since the Second Concordance forbade any of the remaining factions from the First Order War to enter each others territory with an armed warship. So the Orion Spur Alliance would search for Black Sun space stations in deep space and even cut it close when the Black Sun started building them on the nearest New Republic worlds to the Orion Spur Alliance, which of course, did not help them at all since the Orion Spur Alliance actually VIOLATED that part of the Second Galactic Concordance! But the New republic let them get away with it since they were dealing with a large crime syndicate that could pose a threat to the Orion Spur Alliance.... not the aspect of war. The Normandy-II when encountering pirate bases (for example the Black Sun's bases) they would always be accompanied by 3-4 Normandy-Is, sometimes a Normandy-III (after the Normandy-III came out) and two Shieldmaiden-IIs. These 'Pirate Hunter' fleets would destroy the base with their heaviest firepower while the support ships dealt with the pirate ships and the carriers utterly destroy the pirate's carriers and fighters, some do get captured and even some Black Sun ships surrendered when they hear a report from a scout that the Orion Spur Alliance was nearby. anyway I got sidetracked, the Normandy-II was equipped with standard shielding for the Normandy-Class and had advanced gyroscopic systems so while pursuing smaller ships it could also keep it's point toward said smaller ship. The Normandy-II if it were deployed before or during the First Order War it would've saved many Orion Spur Alliance soldiers since the Orion Front was the bloodiest war front in galactic history! The Normandy-II saw even more significant use during the Second Remnant War, which was a war between the New Republic, Orion Spur Alliance, Tempest Sovereign State, New Orion Order, Caretaker Imperial Nomadic Alliance (yes they finally got enough firepower to participate in a war and survive) against the Husk Directorate (Husk Imperial Remnant), Valent Imperium (Valent Imperial Remnant), Galactic Ascendancy and several small Sith Eternal and First Order Remnants.
