Like I said previously, I wouldn't be able to release any new art for quite a while (though I am actively working on a few projects rn).

In celebration of the fact that my latest release will be hitting 1K views soon, (tsym btw! I decided to show you guys the evolution of the character in terms of my art style and even some of the narrative choices I've made about the character. I hate to seem like he's the only one I draw, but he really is the one I use to take my artwork to the next level. I suppose I'll explain them as I go along.

Chase V1: My first attempt at drawing the character and obviously the worst attempt. I would have enjoyed throwing it in the garbage but decided to keep it around and honestly I'm glad I did. Mainly to show how far my style has traversed. Unfortunately I did not place a date on the first version but I would estimate it to be some time around April of 2022 (V1 and V2 was quite literally traced off of MilkyMatsu80's version of Chase. )

Chase V2: My second attempt at the character featured a more dog-shaped head structure (cuz the first one was literally just a wonky cat), a rounder and ever-so-slighty more realistic body shape, a cute attempt at fingers and a more realistic collar. This version deleted the rigid pen marks, utilizing soft pencil coloring instead. It also deleted the front shirt pocket and sunshades. This version was not dated either but I believe it was about a week after the first version.

Chase V3: A visually easier to look at redo of the character, this time featuring a much lighter color scheme and a U.S flag instead of a badge. The "Aviators" from Ohio would also make a return along with the front chest pocket. The character was now slimmed down and had a small fur whip when I remembered this was supposed to be a 17 year old rookie cop. (This version was now traced from Mercywasheree's version of Chase.) This version actually did have a date, that being 6/13/22.

Chase V4: The second drawing I ever released on DeviantArt. The first of these characters I deemed ready to be seen by public eyes. This was also the first version to not be completely traced, as by this point I had acquired enough skill to reference artwork instead of just straight up tracing. This version didn't feature the uniform, instead wearing civilian clothing. (Probably a poor attempt at a leather jacket.) This version retained the fur whip and even the overall head shape of the original, but now had a muzzle shape. I also didn't color it, as I always seemed to mess up the artwork in the coloring phase. This was released on 8/2/22.

Chase V5: The one year anniversary of the fourth version, featuring a whole new look that I tried to make as distinctive from other artists versions as possible. This one had no tracing or referencing and was formed 100% by me. It was a nice blend of everything I wanted it to be, both taking inspiration from the old versions but standing out enough as the definitive "ShadowTRPR25 Chase". The royal blue uniform made a return, taking the golden badge from the arms to the left chest area.

The silver Aviators are a part of the character still, just not being featured in this particular shot. The hair whip was deleted from this shot but might be featured later given the context of the drawing. Most differently, the character was slimmed down severely and made shorter in scale to show that he's younger than the previous versions would have led you to believe. This was released 8/7/23
