Description
The Electro Guards were an elite division of clones designed to protect important places for the Republic or to protect important Republican leaders, they could also be seen accompanying important separatist leaders who were captured by the Republic.
As the name implies, these soldiers were skilled in the use of electrostaff.
Those responsible for creating this unit admit that they took the magnaguards of the separatist alliance as a source of inspiration for the creation of the electro guards.

The soldiers that make up this unit were extremely skilled and agile, they also received specialized training in combat against fallen jedi and against Sith warriors, so on rare occasions these soldiers could be seen accompanying jedi on missions hunting fallen jedi or fighting against warriors siths that served the separatists.
During order 66 the electro guards helped the regular clones to execute the jedi, many of these guards even participated in the attack on the jedi temple along with the 501st legion and Lord Vader.
After the order 66 many of these soldiers were transferred to the Purge Trooper Corps, and some others would become instructors for the new generation of Electro Guards which would no longer be formed by clones but by human recruits highly trained by the clones.
