I kinda liked Alexandrite. That second jaw on her chin was so unique and awesome.
Though the rest of the episode she appeared in was not good, if you ask me. Steven was so out of character in it, and Pearl's reason for not being able to pose as Steven's mother was stupid.

alexandrite is a freakin' mess, but actually really cool for that fact, and yes, that second mouth was a super cool surprise
ah...yeah, Fusion Cuisine is a rather polarized episode among SU fans, though i didn't have much of a problem with it :v. not one of the series' strongest for sure, or up to par with opal's or sugilite's episodes, but good enough for what it was.
i don't see him being OOC so much as a...reversion? he was kinda naive in this ep, but steven's always been naive. he'd done a good job overcoming that when it was necessary since the first few episodes, but there wasn't any serious gem business here, so that trait showed itself again.
if anything, i'd say the gems' actually agreeing to fuse for this was OOC, haha.
shrug, we all got pet peeves and dumb stuff that makes us uneasy. i think it was cool that steven respected that and didn't push pearl into something she was highly uncomfortable with.

i actually think it has something to do with garnet :u
there's a pretty common theory that garnet's a fusion already [i don't hold that opinion, but it actually did get a bit of supporting evidence this episode] IF she is a fusion, i think it's of a pair of incomplete or perhaps splintered gems (the silhouettes there don't exactly look like full people).
either way, garnet seems an odd case. she's got two gems and three eyes, and i feel like those 'extra' traits cause fusions with her to be a little, uh...distorted.
