Ya know, I never commented on this, I think ,because the manga plant bulbs really bother me. I know I'm a blasphemer for saying this, but I don't like the style or the plot of the manga. Give me the anime plants any day!
However, there aren't that many mangas I really like... probably because "But this is how it goes in the MANGA!" fans make me want to punch them. Yes, you are fanner than me. Now go play on the interstate.
Anyway, it is a really well-drawn picture, and well shaded. Sorry for not commenting sooner.

Why I'm replying to this now and didn't sooner, I have no idea.
I do like the Trigun manga a great deal, but I'm still an anime preferer and probably always will be. Vash seems a little goofier/happier in the anime, and... deep stuff goes on with Vash and Legato in the anime regarding a couple of things which I will not mention here because they are spoilers (that aren't a part of the manga). Also, as you said, the "fanner than me" fans that get obnoxious. I hate elitism.
And, hey, I think Caine the Longshot and undertaker-dude Chapel the Evergreen are cool. (I will always love Chapel, for I have seen Sad's "Sailor Chapel" - he will always live on in my heart and nightmares! XD )
I like to read manga that has no animes to it. If I am not mistaken, the Osamu Tezuka titles I am into ("Adolf" and "Phoenix"), unlike many of his other works, never had animes made to them. (If they have and someone knows, lemme know). I also like "Blade of the Immortal"/"Mugen no Jugen" and the author has pretty much expressed that he doesn't want an anime made of his manga.
Among the manga that I read that has animes to it - the only one where I can say that I prefer the manga (as a whole) over the anime is "Petshop of Horrors." - And this is only due to the fact that the manga is 10 volumes worth of stories (7 graphic novels released in English to date, and I own 6 of them), while the anime was a 4 half-hour episode OVA. I still love the anime and think it is very good. The stories in it were drawn straight from the manga (except for a few minor diffrences in the rabbit story, and the relationship between the Presidential hopeful and his aide in "Dual" made more sense in the anime than in the manga). It's just that I like the PSoH manga better because there are many more stories to it than the 4-story anime... probably the only reason why I can honestly say that I like the manga of it better. - I can't say that for any other anime vs. mangas yet.

Just one, scarily enough. But they're built like conjoined twins from hell, with a mass of little putti bodies stretching out of their shoulders and the lower half of a body as part of the "stalk" connecting to the bulb's mechanism.

;_; Aww... Poor Vash. He's such a free spirit and all, that would be a true tragedy.

Wow, that's crazy. That would be very disheartening for Vash. u_u

Oh wow, that just came out wonderful... the whole atmosphere, and the manga look of the bulb, and the mysteriousness and the look on Vash's face. Great job, and great pencil work too!
