EDIT 2/ No longer a member of TGB, Kili left the tribes before the caiman battle out of fear for his life. He was not killed in battle.

Name: Kili (kill-ee) (English/Irish - "from the narrow land")
Kit Name: Nut (after the hard-shelled fruit)
Gender: Male
Age: 2 season cycles (born in the summer season)

Profession: Mineral Collector
Tribe: Shadow-Tribe
Tattoo: Green-Shadow
Type: Secondary | Names
Skills: (5)
Is This A Name? | Seeing The Soul | Control Through The Name 1 | Understanding Of Emotions | Control Through The Name 2

Description:
Size: Slightly smaller than an average tom
Body Type: Leanly muscled, long-limbed, slim
Appearance: Kili's base coat is a muted silver-gray color, with a completely faded-out white underbelly, chest, and muzzle. His hindquarters and tail consist of dilute calico markings, a patchwork of pale orange, dark and light gray, and white. His front paws have darker gray socks, and almost half his face is covered by a patch of the same color. One of his ears is completely a diluted orange, while the other is tipped with white. Kili's eyes are dual-colored, the left being a bright turquoise while the other is blue. Of course, around his mouth is the jagged smile-like mark if the Shadow-Tribe, his own being green with adulthood.
While he has his mother's coloration, Kili inherited his father's thick and fluffy Maine Coon fur. His fur is especially lengthy around his face, and his tail is quite thickly coated. Breed: Dilute Calico/Maine Coon/Tabby
Accessories: None yet

Personality: Friendly | Insecure | Clingy | Loyal | Sensitive | Dull | Excitable | Defensive | Independent | Immature
Friendly: Kili is, overall, an incredibly friendly cat. He loves to meet new cats and to make friends, and always tries his best to make a good impression, making sure to be polite and courteous. It doesn’t take long for him to open up to another cat, though, only a few meetings being enough for him to consider you a close friend. He also rarely ever takes out his frustrations on other cats, instead preferring to keep them happy.

Insecure: Kili can tend to be insecure in both himself and his abilities. After having several moment of disappointment from his father, Kili tends to doubt himself and his place in the tribe. He sometimes feels as if the tribe would be better off without him and even has moments where he considers going back home to his brother and father, but either he or a friend manages to convince him otherwise. He is always trying to prove himself, and praise from another cat, especially and older or more respected one, means the world to him.

Clingy: Because of his insecurities, Kili tends to worry that any friends and companions he has will someday leave him, and he tends to get a bit clingy because of this. Not overbearingly so, no, but he sometimes forgets about the personal space most cats need, and may also forget to leave you alone if you’re not in the mood to be bothered.

Loyal: Loyal to the end, Kili would never dream of betraying his friends or his tribe. He would support his friends through almost anything, and would fight to the death to protect them. Unfortunately, he’s not exactly sure what would happen if his loyalties clashed and he had to choose between his tribe and a friend (or love) from another tribe. He just instead tries to hope that the current peace will last and no conflicts will arise.

Defensive: Kili’s loyalty leads him to be incredibly defensive of those he loves, whether it be his tribe, friends, or family. While he’s normally sweet in nature, insult any one of those things and he will snap, immediately becoming an irritated and bristling cat ready to fight. Even though his parents were exiled from their tribes, and as far as Kili knows his brother remains in exile as well, he will support them, even risking the disapproval that may come from other cats with this defensive nature.

Sensitive: Kili is a sensitive little cat. Harsh words immediately put him down, and it isn’t uncommon for him to twist a simple little insult into a condemning curse. He’s also sensitive towards other’s feelings as well, his skills allowing him to easily detect how another cat is feeling, and he will often try and help another if they’re feeling particularly down or angry.

Dull: Kili, truthfully, is not incredibly intelligent. He’s not completely stupid, no, but more complex ideas or words can go right over his head and take him much longer to decipher. He’s definitely not clever or quick-witted, but luckily that’s not exactly something that he needs. He also tends to point out the obvious, especially if he’s trying to work out a particularly confusing idea. Kili can also be a bit blunt, and also tends to make quick and rash decisions, not taking the time to think out the long-term effects of what he might be doing.

Excitable: Kili seems to be able to get excited over anything. The little things in life make this tom happy, whether it be a beautiful morning or his friend catching a large piece of prey. Gifts especially make him happy, whether he is the one giving or receiving. He’s overjoyed when someone does something for him, and is equally ecstatic when he can make another cat happy by doing or making something for them. Of course, his eagerness to make others happy can sometimes backfire, since Kili will often make himself uncomfortable or unhappy to let someone else have their way.

Independent: While he doesn’t exactly like to be, Kili can be quite independent. This trait was picked up after his mother passed away, and he had to provide his own company while his brother and father were out. He tries to avoid being alone now, but when he has to, he is certainly able to fend for himself and make his own decisions.

Immature: Kili tends to come off as immature, especially with his young appearance and sometimes-childish view of the world. He often lets himself act like a little kitten, as well, letting himself play silly games with younger cats and finding enjoyment in the little things in life. He often tends to have a hard time staying serious in a tenser situation. He certainly does know how to act his age, though, and can be a serious and hard-working member of the Shadow-Tribe when he needs to be. He just prefers to have a little fun with life, especially now that he has friends and a close-knit society as opposed to when he was a kit.

Family:
Mother: Evelyn - petite calico she-cat with blue-green eyes | deceased | exile | Gray-Water
Father: Crow - large dark gray Maine Coon/tabby mix with black mottled patches, dark amber eyes, and a scarred right shoulder | alive | exile | Gray-Air
Brother: Terran - large and muscular brown tabby tom with darker brown patches, especially along his back with one large patch around his left eye, light hazel eyes | alive | exile | Gray-Air

Backstory
The Beginning
Kili (or ‘Nut’ as he was called back then) and his brother Terran were born to the exiled cats Evelyn and Crow. The two parents, with their faded-out tattoos of the Air and Water Tribes, had made quite a comfortable life for themselves in the quiet land of the exiles. Crow, wanting the best for his mate, had found a cozy little abandoned den for the pair to live in, a safe place for Evelyn to nurture her kittens once they were born. It wasn’t a bad life the two lived, Crow managing to find enough prey to keep them both full and any other sightings of wild animals being scarce. They stayed healthy and safe, so there was no cause to worry when Evelyn’s pregnancy reached its peak and she gave birth to two little toms.
Kili was the first born, though his younger brother was larger and stronger and immediately was favored by their father. “He needs a good name, a powerful name!” he meowed with pride, and, with the approval of his mate, named his son Terran after his father. Kili, on the other hand, was a bit tougher. Neither parent could agree on a name, Evelyn leaning towards softer, more feminine names (for she had wanted a daughter), while Crow rejected each of those suggestions, not wanting to give his son a ‘she-cat name’. So little Kili went unnamed for a few days, until Evelyn noticed her little nameless son attempt to play with an acorn, and teasingly called him a little nut. Unfortunately for Kili, the name stuck, and from then on he was known as just that. Nut.
As kits, Nut and Terran weren’t incredibly close. Terran was much closer with their father, who tended to favor the bigger of the two brothers. While his younger brother often ventured out to spend the days with Crow, Nut would stay at the den with Evelyn, listening to her stories about the Tribes. He found her tales of these cats with glowing tattoos and amazing powers to be much more interesting than training with his brother and father.

Disaster
This happiness didn’t last long, however. One day, when the pair were almost six moons old, Crow came home to report the scent of a fox to his mate, and the two cats stayed up late that night discussing what they should do about this potential problem. Nut and Terran were worried, but didn’t quite understand the severity of this. Why was a fox such a big deal? But Evelyn and Crow seemed so worried that the brothers stayed silent, simply gossiping among themselves about what this whole fox problem might mean.

Three days later, Evelyn and Crow decided to try and chase the fox away. It hadn’t left, instead steadily moving closer to the den. “If we don’t do something now, it could hurt the boys.” Crow had argued, and Evelyn couldn’t help but agree. They decided to try and distract the creature, to send it roaming in another direction to keep it away from their home and kits. Nut was worried when his mother explained that they would be gone for the day, but Evelyn promised everything would be fine. “We’ll be back tonight, don’t you fret, my little Nut.” She had purred, “And we’ll make sure to bring back a nice fat rabbit for you and Terran to share!”

Nut and Terran waited nervously all day, hardly speaking to each other and instead waiting for the sound of their parent’s return. That evening, they heard the noise of somecat approaching, but only Crow stepped towards the den, shoulder bloody and eyes dull. The brothers could sense their father’s grief, and Terran immediately settled down in silence beside his wounded father. Nut, though, was determined, and stayed up at the entrance to the den, waiting to see the familiar blue-green eyes of his mother appear in the dark. Only when the sun peeked over the horizon, bringing just the new day and not his mother, did Nut allow himself to cry.

Growing Up
It took several weeks for the family to get back to some normalcy. Terran and Crow were even closer now, helping each other through Evelyn’s death, but Nut now felt alone. Where his brother and father had always been close, Nut had stayed with his mother, but now she was gone. He tried his hardest to get along with the two, but it tended to be awkward. Then the appearance of the brother’s tattoos didn’t help.
Terran woke up on his sixth moon to find that the stretching wing-like marks of the Air-Tribe had appeared on his back. Crow was proud, pleased to see that his younger son had taken the tattoo of his own tribe. Nut, on the other hand, now had a pale curving smile around his mouth, the mark of the Shadow-Tribe. Terran giggled, saying the tattoo looked weird, though when Nut looked to his father, he saw the briefest flash of disappointment in the older tom’s eyes. The tattoos meant nothing for the exiled family, of course, but Crow still had some pride for his tribe, and it hurt to see that his son wouldn’t have adopted his or his mate’s allegiance.
Nut was more hurt than he let himself seem, and while he still loved his father and brother, became more independent and withdrawn from them.

The next six months were slow. Nut stayed on his own, preferring the safety of the den while his father and brother would venture in the woods. Eventually, though, he began to join them, as their father started to instruct them on hunting and fighting methods. While Nut excelled at hunting, his light and smaller form better at sneaking up on prey, Terran often bested him at combat. Though once Nut began to use the quick and precise moves he used during hunting, he and his powerful brother became more evenly matched. Soon, Nut began to see a glimmer of pride in Crow’s eyes, not just for Terran, but for both his sons.

Discovery
Soon, Nut found himself wandering from home more and more, exploring the surrounding forest on his own. While he never took his father or brother with him, he was still incredibly careful, the memory of his mother’s death still always on his mind. He still felt lonely, but he began to find company in the forest, carefully approaching a den of rabbits to watch them play or simply relaxing in the soothing scent of a flower patch. His brother thought he was crazy, but Nut did his best to ignore Terran’s criticisms.

Soon, though, a new scent filled his nose. Cats. He was shocked, uncertain if he should be frightened or excited. Sure, he’d smelled other cats before, but the scent was usually stale or was of just one or two felines. This was the scent of many, and Nut realized that there were several large groups of these cats. Surely that wasn’t normal? But Nut hesitated before heading back home, instead deciding to check out this new occurrence on his own.
And he was shocked. Cat with tattoos like his family, but theirs were colorful and glowing! Nut was amazed, and simply stared at the cats for a good while before he realized that these must have been the tribes his parents had spoken of. Tribes where your tattoo wasn’t just a dull spear on your fur, where you all worked together, where you belonged and mattered.
These thoughts occupied Nut’s mind for several days, the nagging urge to go and join these tribe cats seeming to be the only thing he felt. But to leave his brother and father behind? Nut knew, though, that the two wouldn’t be too terribly heartbroken about his departure. So he simply told them he was going out to live his own life, that he was ready to leave the den, and with a few short goodbyes, Nut headed away from his childhood and moved onwards towards the tribes.
He forced himself to be brave, to approach the Shadow Tribe and request to join their numbers. He was nervous and frightened, but those fears left him as the Shadow-Tribe accepted him. The tom almost second-guessed his decision, but his tattoo then flooded with green, and he received his true name. Nut then knew this was the right decision, this is where he was meant to be. He likes to think that it was a decision his mother would have approved of, something that would have made her proud.
And so the little tom moved on to his new life, with the power of his tribe flowing through him and a new name to begin this different way of living.
He was no longer Nut, but Kili.
Kili of the Shadow-Tribe.

Soulbound: None yet
Apprentice: None

Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Mate: None
Kits: None

Voice Actor: Dylan O'Brien

Fighting Style: He prefers to rely on speed than his actual strength, using his small form to weave around his opponent and strike whenever he finds an opening. He’s not a large cat, though, and a strong hit could easily cut his attack short. Of course, you have to actually hit him first.
His thick and lengthy fur can make him look quite intimidating when he's angry, and he likes to rely on that and the element of surprise using his skills to quickly get the upper hand.

Extra:
• Scared of foxes, though he’s never actually seen one. Just the mention of one freaks him out, and he doesn’t know how well he’ll react to coming face-to-face with one for the first time.

• When Kili gets stressed, he sometimes forgets to eat, and may need an extra reminder to calm down and take a few bites of prey.

• Kili has quite a horrible memory, so don’t be offended if he doesn’t seem to recognize you after your first meeting. His ability does give him an excellent recollection of names, though.

• Fond of kits, and often likes to spend the day playing silly little games with them.

• Tends to talk a lot, especially when excited.

• He's not too fond of the summer-time, since his thick fur slows him down and overheats him. He prefers the cooler seasons, and especially loves the snow.

Roleplay Example
(from City Limits )
Izabella sighed as she stepped into the outer reaches of the city, eyes lazy as she swept them across her surroundings. She was just so bored. While living alone in the country with her sister was fun and all, sometimes it just got a little lonely. She didn't hate Autumn, no no. It was just nice to change things up every once in a while. Besides, they were getting older now, and they would have to go their separate ways eventually, right?

The orange and black she-cat sighed as she trotted along a sidewalk, head tilting back to follow one of the taller building's lengths into the sky. She hadn't been back to the city since she was just a kit, when her mother was still around. She hadn't exactly missed the place, no, but it was nice to be home again. Autumn had stayed in the country, not exactly sharing Izabella's sudden impulse to visit the city. Oh well, her loss. Maybe Bella would bring her back a tasty city treat.

Bella turned a corner, letting herself aimlessly wander around the city blocks, her eyes scanning the cats she passed. Mm. City toms were nice and handsome, and all the she-cats were just so lovely. Of course, there were the more wild strays, but everyone was just a bit more civilized than what she had seen in the country. The she-cat wandered a bit further before settling down on a street corner that was empty of humans. They all must've been busy doing whatever it was that humans did during at night. The sun's light could still be seen on the horizon, but within the hour it would soon be gone.
The she-cat then settled down, humming as she swiped her tongue across her paw, rubbing it over her ear as she watched the other cats who made the city their home. She contemplated what to do; find a friend to go out and experience the night life? Or maybe even find a nice tom? The second option was a bit more appealing, but she wasn't exactly sure who to pick out. Oh well. If someone wanted to meet her, they would approach her, right? She would linger here a while, and if no one came to her, she would go out and find her own company.
Right.
For now, it was the waiting game.
