There’s nothing much to say on the lore, actually. It’s pretty much a random ASB scenario where I experiment with some design choices. Sure, I could use some of my ideas, but I rather prefer to be safe than wasting it on a good concept. So, I just come up with some random nonsense instead.

The lore is really simple: Cromwell didn’t win the English Civil War and eventually devolved into a warring island. You got a theocratic republic that has an extensive cult-of-personality (Cromwellian England), an aimless rump state ready to implode (Cavalier England), two warring dynasties fighting for the throne (N/S Scotland), and a proto-socialist peasant republic fighting for the survival of their livelihood (Commune of Yorkshire).

I’ll probably be answering your question with some ad-hoc lore, but then again, it’s just an ASB map… and it’s a dumb one.
