Delightfully creepy. I always thought some of Eddie's lines in the game had a double meaning to them, but this quote gets me every time.

actually, there isn't any double meaning. You should read on why Eddie is the way he is to understand that quote. Only after reading it will you hopefully understand what he meant.

well, I encourage you to read why Eddie is in the asylum (go to wiki if you want), it answers why he wants to make Waylon his 'bride'. I won't type the whole backstory down as its a lot to explain. But I will tell you the relation to the quote. "Theres something special about you on the surface"- he sees Waylon as attractive and probably is repeating what his father or uncle told him in the past [his past plays a huge role in who he is at present- as with any human on this earth]. "But when you look deeper, when anybody with eyes to see looks at what you truly are, thats why they don't trust you"- The fact that Waylon is running from him, angers him yet causes laughter in him and edges him to pursue him further, he quickly changes from wooing him to calling him a 'whore' throughout the game. He gains a distrust of Waylon as he tries to escape repeatedly. This is probably what he said to his female victims in the past. Now, do I believe this is the only answer to to your question?, No. There is little information on Eddie to be frank, but I am merely making sense of what I already have learned throughout the game. Could there be different opinions and other answers that may surpass mine in understanding and accuracy?, Sure. I don't see why not. But hopefully, what I explained has some merit.

Actually I read in-game notes about Eddie and I know why he is in the asylum. Nevertheless, his whole phrase seems confusing and full of interpretations. Otherwise I'd never have paint this pic.

С трагичной частью соглашусь, с роматичностью я бы поспорила. Все-таки он там... отрезал мужикам кое-что. Мне вроде как он и нравится, интересный персонаж, но я не могу стереть из памяти то, что он маньяк, убийца и вообще больной человек. Хотя персонаж шикарный, просто находка.
