A little thing I started doodling while at the beach on Monday; where I got the worst sunburn in my life, I'm in so much pain

So this is Brairlight x Minty, a kittypet from Bramblestar's Storm. And, yeah, I know. It's another random crack-pair. I haven't read Bramblestar's Storm in years, so I don't remember whether or not they interacted at all. I wanted to give Briarlight a love interest, but all of the potential partners for her in my AU were other taken or somehow unavailable. I thought about putting her with Hazeltail, as they're not too far apart in age, but my friend came up with the idea of pairing her with Sol which won me over XD I'm also not the biggest Jay x Briar fan. Eventually I thought about Minty, the bratty but enthusiastic kittypet who stayed with ThunderClan during a flood. I imagine Briarlight, who's a sweet and optimistic character, would help make Minty feel more comfortable during her stay. Obviously Minty is a kittypet who isn't very fond of the idea of hunting or fighting, so she'd choose to lounge around with Briarlight in the sun. Briarlight is kind to Minty from the get-go, and is happy to see Minty settle into Clan life and help around in the nursery and medicine den. Briar herself is very popular in ThunderClan for her kindness and determination, and Minty slowly gains a similar popularity among the Clanmates. Although Minty could be a bit whiny and fidgety, Briarlight understands that she's just nervous about being in a new environment, just like how she was scared when she lost use of her back legs.

Briarlight wouldn't mind Minty's endless questions, and vice versa. Although Briarlight couldn't ever live a kittypet life, and Minty could never live as a warrior, they both have an insatiable curiosity and a deep fascination with one another. I think the two would also bond over not being able to have kits, due to Briarlight's injury and Minty having been spayed. Briar confesses her crush first, and Minty accepts her affection, though she's rather embarrassed about it. Briarlight has no problem showing her love towards Minty at all, especially in public. She thinks it's nothing to be ashamed of. Mint, although not in any way ashamed of her girlfriend, is a bit shyer and more easily embarrassed by public displays of affection. They make a good pair, though; playing with kits, helping out Jayfeather and Leafpool, and Minty helping Briarlight with her exercises. The two girls can usually be seen lounging around outside of the medicine den, flicking moss balls at kits and chatting with Millie and Dovewing.

Minty is torn between staying with Briar or going home and confides in Stormpaw / Frankie about it. Briarlight senses her worries and assures her that it's okay if she wants to go home, as she knows that Minty would never truly be happy with life in the wild. Squirrelstar also lets her know that she can come visit whenever she wants, just as long as she promises to catch her own prey. Minty's visits to ThunderClan are rather infrequent, as it's hard to navigate the forest without running into predators or aggressive Clan cats, but Briarlight is patient.

That's really all I have figured out as of now Kind of just wanted to try something new. Also Minty just doesn't get enough attention XD

The song I chose is mostly from Minty's point of view, as the whole "romance with a Clan cat" thing is kinda new to her, and she's embarrassed by Brair's forwardness. I think Levi's part fits more with Briarlight and her willingness to give this love a shot <3 Also, ignore Minty's floppy collar I added it in at the last second.
