Arsinoe had been removed from the palace of her uncle Aknadin who wants to get his son on the throne. Aknadin sneak into the nursery where the two twins Atem and Arsinoe was asleep Aknadin could not figure out who he should take, he knew only that Atem was to be king after his father and that Arsinoe was the one who could be dangerous. Aknadin chose to take Arsinoe so it will be easier to kill her brother, but at that he picked her up Atem began to cry, Aknadin took a rose red jacket and wrapped it around the little princess and fled with her in the night. as Aknadin came to the Nile he put Arsinoe in a basket and put the basket in the Nile so the curve with Arsinoe followed the river.

a woman went down the Nile to fetch water when she saw the basket and heard a baby crying in the basket, she ran into the Nile and got hold of the basket and removed the lid from the basket to see a little baby. the woman took the little baby in her arms to comfort the baby, the woman could see right away that it's a girl, and decided to take care of the baby and went back to her husband with the little princess.
