Bayushi Atsuki vs. Bayushi Sunetra from Legend of the Five Rings.

The Gozoku are quietly taking over most Clans of Rokugan. They are a faction who seek to take Hantei Naseru out of the throne he now occupies as the righteous Emperor and put someone they can handle (hence handling the Emerald Empire) instead.

Among the most important figures of the Gozoku is Bayushi Atsuki. He was disguised as Shosuro Furuyari, advisor of the Scorpion Clan Daimyô himself, discovered and then killed by his own acolyte Bayushi Kamnan in a lie that perdured some years. He was truly not dead as Bayushi Kamnan was acting as Atsuki wanted. Hence, Atsuki rised once more and joined again the ranks of the Gozoku.

Bayushi Sunetra is the Champion of the Scorpion Clan, the Mistress of Secrets. She was there when Kamnan killed Atsuki and she was aware when he rised again as a burden for the Scorpion Clan and as a burden for the entire Emerald Empire as it was the Gozoku itself. She delegate her Clan Champion title in Bayushi Paneki and is now the Underhand of the Emperor, who obeys the orders of Naseru himself to seek and destroy the Gozoku... specially those within her own Clan.

Los Gozoku están tomando sielenciosamente los Clanes de Rokugán. Son una facción q busca deponer a Hantei Naseru del trono q ahora ocupa como auténtico Emperador y poner a alguien q puedan manejar a su antojo en su lugar (manejando de esta manera todo el Imperio Esmeralda).

Entre las figuras más importantes del Gozoku está Bayushi Atsuki. Vivió disfrazado como Shosuro Furuyari, consejero del mismo Daimyô del Clan Escorpión, fue descubierto y asesinado a manos de su propio discípulo Bayushi Kamnan en una mentira q duró varios años. No estaba verdaderamente muerto puesto q Bayushi Kamnan estaba actuando a las ordenes del propio Atsuki. De ese modo volvió a las filas del Gozoku de nuevo.

Bayushi Sunetra es la Campeona del Clan Escorpión, la Señora de los Secretos. Estuvo allí cuando Kamnan mató a Atsuki y estuvo atenta cuando este se alzó de nuevo, pues era una mancha para el Clan Escorpión y para todo el Imperio Esmeralda, como lo era el propio Gozoku. Delegando el puesto de Campeona de Clan en Bayushi Paneki, se convierte en la Mano Oculta del Emperador, obedeciendo las órdenes diercatmente del propio Naseru para buscar y eliminar a aquellos pertencientes al Gozoku... especialmente dentro de su propio Clan.

So, this is one of my new pics, Bayushi Atsuki and Bayushi Sunetra. I did this one for a t-shirt we, the Scorpion Clan people, will be wearing in the next Kotei (a L5R cards tournament that decide something in the storyline of Rokugan)! I am sooo happy that some people will wear a t-shirt with my draw on it ^____^
We wanted a t-shirt and started looking for pics. The Gozoku faction of our clan wanted Atsuki to appear on it, and the loyalist part wanted Sunetra to appear, so I offered to make a pic with both of them, because just putting the images of the cards was a bit too fussy .

The lineart of this one was made in 15 minutes (only this one, I have some other tries that were discarded) and the colouring (OpenCanvas) in looots of time, dunno, maybe 24 hours or so... I got a bit stressed over it, because it was for a t-shirt and I wanted the more people possible to like it. I am very satisfied with the results, over 30 Scorpion Clan people (Gozoku and loyalists) asked for a t-shirt for the Kotei! We will have our rokugan-nick (mine is Bayushi Shizu) and somethings personalized Then there will be other sold without any personalized stuff

I enjoyed doing Atsuki's mask and Sunetra's mask/makeup. Hers is done with eggshells, she is supposed to have no emotion in her face, so the eggshell will not break. That's why all Scorpion wear masks. To show no trace of emotion, as they are the Masters of Secrets.

BTW, I am a Loyalist Scorpion... go ask ~Bayra and she will tell you I bite when someone says his or her intention to use Gozoku cards in their decks...

Tried to make my pics with more contrast in light/shadows also in colour, like this one I like them more this way
