Description Lupin the III, 2009
Approx. 10 in
Polymer clay; Wooden base

Well... this is just about done. The back of the jacket really needs to get smoothed out some more so that the wrinkles don't look like smudges or the unintentional bumbs don't look like wrinkles.

Not sure if I love the carved in facial details... hopefully I'll be painting this up and the details will pop all the more.

So I finally decided to join in on the sculpture jams over at Clubhouse Forums [link] First up is an anime jam. There were tons of different things that I really wanted to sculpt... but since this has been on my list forever, it seemed like the best combination.

This is modelled very closely in size and pose to Medicom's Stylish figures as I already have two other character figures of the series and that way he'll blend in.

The rough up from this pic [link] was a couple of hours... Then, after that it was.... I don't know... 6ish hours that day and then 6ish more yesterday. So - approx. 16 hours or so total.

I tend to sculpt in a very lax fashion... always with a movie or something in the background (a bad habit picked up in college...) So time is never really a factor. I also tend to only sculpt on days that I have off from work - which leaves me the full day to procrastinate and still have time to get something done

At this point I need to be a bit more decisive with the sculpting and get more done on days off and a bit done on days that I worked - or I'm never going to accomplish much!!!
