Visit my site, I love to photograph flowers as well, I grow them myself then shoot them and render them in paints or color pencil. I have a 35 mm Nikkon but I just got an Olympus Evolt300 that I am learning to use and hope to get the clarity in my flowers I see here at DA!!!

Some great contrast on this pic, an excellent choice to go B&W. It really brings out the texture of the flowers and the tight DoF really enhances the focus.

I'm actually not sure what kind of flower they are... This was taken in a greenhouse near my house. I myself refer to them as roses (though I know they aren't). I'm glad you like it!
