Lol! This looks like one of Riopelle's abstract paintings of a sun. I love the lack of color in your photo, but still there's lots of contrast. It's pretty bleak, but still, great picture.

This keeps reminding me of some movie but I can't come up with the name or anything. Anyways.
What I like here a lot is the grain. It somehow sets the mood to be more timeless and prevents the photo being too polished (which I don't really like). Also, the idea here is beautiful and I like the composition, all the different reflections.
For some reason this photo reminds me of a heart. Not a broken heart necessarily but a heart in general. Or I'm just obsessed with love. Either way, back to my love theory, I like how all the shards show something different, just like our hearts hold different things. It's odd why broken mirrors are often considered bad luck as they actually are quite beautiful, giving us new perspectives.

That's pretty cool. It'll look good as a novel cover don't you think?

This is a beautiful piece of art.
I love how its almost halved, the top portion sky white and the bottom almost black. it fits the title perfectly "Shards of Reality". Every thing about this picture is perfect.

It is very original and, as you say, different to your usual stuff. The title intrigues me - I'd be interested to heear your take on it.

Thank you very much for your comment.
As for the title, this actually a pretty personal piece and it seems to represent some of the things I'm going through right now. I'd rather not say openly on the internet what exactly is going on (even some of my close friends don't know about it), but let's just say that mentally things have been rather difficult for me this past little while and I don't feel quite "normal". I'm sorry, I don't wish to elaborate more than that, but I hope it tells you a bit.
Of course, you may also interpret the title in your own way...

the concept itself is pretty good and i quite like it..
there's just.. dunno.. odd constrasts.. maybe the reflection of the white sky is too.. white. (lol i'm sorry got no other way to put it) or maybe it's the focusing - when you look at it you either focus to your reflection (that's very pretty by the way) or you focus on the edges to get the overall view of a shattered mirror, you can't get a visual of the two sets at the same time.. i guess that makes it lose the natural touch photographs usually have. i don't know if that will make any sense to anyone.. it was just some sincere feedback.. anyway nice work and happy new year!
