Hey, do you scan your pictures, or use a camera? Cause I have to say, the image quality of your work is incredible!!

It depends on the size. Everything small enough to fit on the scanner I scan, for everything else I use my camera. But there's always the problem that the colors don't match the original, so I use GIMP to correct that.

I see. I've done a few watercolor paintings, but when I scan them, they of course, don't look so great. I have GIMP, just never really thought of using it

I don't know what scanner you have and what software came along with it. If the software has some more options than just "scan", play a bit with them. With my scanner the differences between the different settings are huge.

Jetzt könntest Du ihn noch in seiner Lederhosenkluft porträtieren - hast Du das gesehen? Mann, sah das schräg aus. *lach* Und das Schuhplatteln muss er auch noch üben.

Jup, der Herr hatte vor den Fotos gerade den 3. Iron Man abgedreht. Dazu muss er immer so um die 10 kg Muckis antrainieren - die dann je nach folgendem Film auch wieder runter müssen.
Die Lederhosenfotos hab ich auf SPIEGEL Online gesehen. Hihi, der macht wirklich jeden Blödsinn mit. Abgesehen davon hat der Mann neben den interessanten Armen auch vernünftige Waden und nicht so dürre Storchenbeine - sonst hätte das mit der Lederhose auch seltsam ausgesehen. Gwyneth Paltrow schien außerdem von seinem Allerwertesten fasziniert zu sein:"Er hat den besten Hintern der Welt. Ich empfehle, dass Sie ihn auf dem Weg nach draußen mal anfassen."
Ich hab da noch nix geplant, kann aber gut sein, dass ich noch mehr Bilder von ihm mache. Der hat einfach so ein super Gummigesicht und je nach Haarlänge, Bart(form) und Brillen (oder eben ohne) verändert der auch ständig seinen Typ.

I came across a couple of interesting photos of him recently and I thought he'd be interesting to draw. I really like drawing people who are already a bit older and have some "life" in their faces. RDJ is able to look so different only by changing the way he trimms his beard or by having very short or longer hair, not to mention the various glasses.
