I'm guessing that pre-princess Twilight Sparkle has been messing with time travel again, though there are two different ways to read this scene and I'm kind-of stuck: One would be that she was out for stroll and happened through this old graveyard, but no worries because it's a sunny day, and then the portal caught her unaware as she's summoned to another era by one of the ponies sleeping there; on the other hand, I can imagine that she had been in the palace and stepped through the portal to find the answer to a question, only to discover the graves of those she cares about.
Hmm, with her startled pose and heavy gasp I'm going to assume it's the first one where she's being summoned, perhaps begged to help right some old wrong so that the remains here can finally rest in peace.
Whatever the case, gorgeous work times two on the beautiful summer day and again for the cold and snowy scene showing through the portal. Lovely work on the very-expressive Twilight Sparkle too. Thanks for sharing the experience.
