I did the same thing with his suit in my Batman VS Superman poster concept.
I really enjoy the colors, line work, and style. You should try to draw another version that resembles Henry Cavill a little more. That would be even cooler!

It's not Nolan. Never was. Zack Snyder and Michael Wilkinson designed the Man of Steel costumes.

As much as I didn’t think too highly of the movie (Man of Steel was good, not great), I can still respect how an outfit really changes a character, in this case, making Superman into a true alien badass who’ll take no shit from no-one. The expression and pose just about says it all, mess with him and expect your day to turn real bad real quickly.
The S-shield and armour looks very detailed and immaculate, and his cape looks simply wonderful. There’s great use of shading in the right parts to give it that more realistic look.
Great job, and certainly hope you can continue working to such high standards. Keep it up!
