I used a bunch of rainmeter configs for this, if i'm not mistaken.

How did you get the stack bubble to come up so far away from the dock? mine comes up touching my icons.

It was by accident actually I used stack icons [link] that had the actual image on the bottom part only, leaving the rest of the transparent space to act as if part of the dock spacing.

Yep, the icons I found happened to have that much space around it. Which was very convenient.
