Unfortunately, her skin looks mostly white--the base is C-1. I don't know how to scan without losing the lighter colors >.<

I hate myself for never drawing anybody not in profile.

For the background, I taped off the border with painter's tape (first sticking/unsticking it to the rug several times so as to get a lot of lint on the sticky side; I didn't want it to stick too much to the paper because it could rip/damage the image). I painted the area with rubbing alcohol and colored over it with my markers to create a watercolor effect. It didn't come out quite as I intended, but I'm glad I didn't ruin the image! I was sweating the whole time because I had no idea how it would turn out.

Copic sketch markers (inc. colorless blender)
Staedtler 0.3mm black pigment liner
70% isopropyl alcohol
some paint brush, idk, I'm not a painter
some generic brand of marker paper, but you could probably do the same thing on cardstock and save a good $6
