I drew this piece to highlight the internal homophobia that's present in the gay community. Perhaps from the outside, everything looks cute and fun, but behind the veil there are still a lot of issues gay men have to face on the scene, especially if you don't have gym bodies and the like.Related content

This art is perfect to bring across an issue that has gone on and on and has not stopped.
Gays are just as perfect at being two-faced as everybody else is.
All this acceptance and inclusion on one hand and cold freezing shoulders on the other.
Handsomeness, to me, is just as much what's going on on the inside as much as it is going on on the outside.
You can be a hunk of the world, but your gay soul sucks like a garbage disposal.
A smile doesn't mean you love someone. It would be nice if gay hunks just lightened the fuck up and smiled once in a while to the men who gaze upon them.
So you don't like the "fatties" and the "nellies", etc, well I don't like the stuck up arrogant snobbish gay muscle freaks.
Just smile, say 'hey!' and continue on, instead of glaring or rolling your eyes or sneering or blatantly ignoring everyone.

I was actually there at a Pride even in my city and saw this happening. There was meant to be a bear event happening and when I got there, all the muscle and fit bears had cornered themselves off and most of the chubby guys (who had made a picnic for everyone) were shut out. I just joined in with the picnic lol
