Wow, nice job! I have always admired the Finnish for their heroic defense against the Soviets in 1939. I am especially impressed by the ski soldiers and the snipers like Simo Hayha.

The work here reminds me of the blending between the graphite pencil drawings merged with extracts of the movie, in the introduction of "The Pacific" series.
No criticism for him. But one against the soldier drawn here, because of his sloppy and unsufficient helmet camouflage. :-3

Absolutely top notch mate, top notch. Swedish M40 helmet, summer battledress with sweater underneath, really displays the Finnish soldier of the era perfectly.

thank you and when i drew the pic i didnt know it would have so much emotion in it but it really shows that face that i could see through my dad grandpa and uncles who all served overseas in conflicts that thousand yard stare

yes the russians invaded finland during world war 2 and the finns held them off yes they had help from the germans but after they held off the russians they fought the germans and pushed them out of their country the finns just fought to survive world war 2
