Calf PortraitTraditional, graphite (mechanical pencil & black polychromos)
I've been a bit quiet over the past few months, started projects but I've been unable to finish them because of University. Now thats finished I've managed to finish old projects and start new ones! Including this graphite portrait, anyone that knows me knows I honestly hated this medium, I haven't done a graphite piece in 5 ish years? So this was a pretty big deal for me personally. I'm really happy with the outcome and would love to hear your thoughts!

This is absolutely gorgeous! I've never tried graphite, but it looks like it would be messy and difficult to work with! But the contrast and tones are amazing here, good job

Thank you so much! I find it really hard to get tones they also smudged quite a bit but the mechanical pencil barely smudged and got quite dark! The polychromos pencil helped with the contrast too c: I recommend trying this and other mediums it's good to experiment!
