Description
There is a creature whose
  feet touch but aether
  as they traverse molten light,

Flickering, sighing, and
   drifting horizons.
   The transparent, sensual dream:

Shimmer, Chimera,
  chameleon cherub,
  iridescent dulcet chord.

Mortals espy this
  indifferent divine,
  who inspires them to lament,
    "Curse living eyes,
    inhibited by what they inhabit!
    Limited by birth
    to extract from the spectrum
    a miniscule selection
    of light,
    if death could but free
    just one hue yet unseen
    from that beauty,
    then none would keep
    life."

Envy those photons that
  blossomed in vision!
Envy caresses they
   only were blessed with,
   for reflections touch the source.

An Illuminate longingly
  fawns over shadow
  softly cast in molten light,

Seeking beyond it to
  transcend phenomena,
  and delight in barren truth
  (and delight in baring truth).
