Ah! if your using 2.8 on windows7 you may want to upgrade to 2.8.2 since it fixes alot of crashing issues and general bugs on the current windows platforms(xp-7)

...hm..okay..tbh, i used to use 2.6, when my laptop stuffed up.. and i put everything back onto it using the back up data.. it updated itself to 2.8.. so far.. it hasnt crashed yet :\ thanks for the tip/suggestion though

Your welcome ive just heard from alot of Win7 users that they had issues with 2.8(crashes) that were mostly fixed in 2.8.2.....but if your not having any issues I wouldn't fret over it much no actual features were added as far as the devs said on their blog just bug fixes and some streamlining so things load a bit faster
