Same here, I also focus better when drawing.
I think, by drawing, you keep that one part of the brain that's always distracting you, busy with something, while you pay attention. Something vaguely like that.

The sheer amount of work here calls for favorite-ing. Do I detect peacock feathers in the lion? Is that a Captain Snow reference? If you haven't seen Archipelago by Hanna D Vera YOU MUST. Any fan of HTTYD should easily go nuts over it-I know I did! The style of adventure is really similar.

Awesome! I love the pattern - it's so intricate! This butterfly fishtail gives it more soft, delicate look which is lovely. And I just can't stop staring at these scales and mane - great work! .o.

I like. ..amazing how you do that, draw in church I mean. Back in high school, my friend's way of focus was to draw in class especially Latin. I would get by by reading really huge books.

I am the same way! My school notebook is covered with doodles! The teachers get mad, but they don't argue because it helps me focus and get good grades. Haha! I wonder if someone did a study on that. I would love to read it.
