While I've mostly moved on from this game onto other creative projects, I still have a great fondness for animal jam. After an exhausting day at work, this colorful kids game full of animals has always been very soothing for me - even if intended for younger players. I loved decorating the little houses and dressing up animals, and I adored trading artwork with others to decorate the little homes. I still might pop in now and then to make pre-existing masterpiece items available for those who want them

I'm very grateful for other players who have stopped by my den to talk art tips and swap masterpiece items - or simply discuss how the art makes them feel.
There's been a number of players who have told me that the work has inspired them and encouraged them to let their creativity shine - and honestly the feeling is mutual.

2020 has been a challenging year for so so many, but it has also given me a much needed chance to reflect and grow and try to understand myself.
I hope that no matter where my strange life leads me, that I draw from my unique experience as an artist with cognitive and developmental challenges in a way that makes a positive impact and inspires others to accept themselves and others as they are, and to treasure the amazing complexities of both the natural world and our imaginations.

This piece takes elements from some older art pieces that had become somewhat iconic in the community. Freed from the previous limitations of animal jam MPs and mouse-based drawing - this new ones is done in photoshop with a huion tablet. Snarky Sparkle Shark the kelpie: shape-shifting water demon with a fluffy and compact exterior. <3
