By the time I remembered it was 's birthday, it was already on the verge of passing. So I went straight to work by first every so subtly asking which character he dug. Being the sly fox I am, he took the bait and I quickly drew up a pic featuring Velma, from Scooby Doo.My 9 mg of Melatonin began kicking in as my mild migraine started to affect my stomach, but I plowed through for at least 90 minutes and whipped this up before I had to pass out.
So, with that, I wish a very happy birthday, both past tense and future.

Sorry to nose in, but if you're for real: I think I can answer.
There are several things here to consider. One, there's a nostalgic value about the cartoon as this is the medium people who makes these drawings (like Sharky and me) to express something. Even if it is a fetish and you may find it strange or whatever: not all the people get off to these toons. Contrary to what my gallery (or his) would make you believe: I don't. I'm a foot-fetish guy at heart, but that doesn't mean I get off to any naked foot running around or seen in some place (a.k.a. to the Statue of Liberty, who's wearing sandals, for an extreme example). But it is gratifying to a degree to see these characters like this and so we do them.
As for Velma... some guys just don't prefer the "Daphne" type of girls, so, they pick on the nerdy ones. Whatever she's a cartoon or not, or she turns you on or not on this way or even if you still reminiscence about being a kid a liking her (which is totally normal at young age and well, you come to terms differently as an adult) are different stories.
tl;dr - Some people turn on to this and some don't. Velma may be liked for several reasons that are not actually sexual and she can still be used for these kind of mediums because she exists and is possible to draw.
