Here is my contest entry for 's and 's joint contest~
This is 's OC, Rinne~ ain't she adorable?
I really hope I didn't miss anything or if I butchered your character
I also hope you took notice of all the little details I put in Q u Q Hopefully those little things can up my score Q A Q
(And oh my goodness. Those wings. I can't even OTZ)

how do youi draw the eyes??
i wasn't trying to steal your style of drawing or anything but i did try to draw the eyes like you but....
fail....
to catch up to you, it would take like a thousand years....

Unfortunetely the person who put up the tutorial for the eyes deleted the deviation orz However, it's all really just experimenting and adding layer and layer to get the effect you desire. I just used her tutorial as a reference, my way of coloring eyes have changed and whatnots now.
There's no formal way of doing it exactly but all you have to do really is
1. Place down base color
2. Clip a new layer above it and add shadows and details and even more shadows
3. Make a new layer on top of the base color layer but below the shading layer and add highlights towards the bottom of the eye
4. Add any extra details on layers above the shading layer
5. Add white shines above the lineart layer
And remember, practice is key. If you're willing to invest your time in drawing, it's guarenteed that you will get better. Just don't put yourself down when trying or you're only going to be an obstacle for you're own improvement.

Hmmm, well as far as I've known, I've had a interest in drawing ever since Kindergarden although it wasn't until like 4th grade that I took interest in drawing manga. I've had my tablet since 7th grade, but didn't honestly use it until 9th grade when I decided I wanted to do this in the future. I'm currently a Sophomore in high school so I basically have been drawing digitally seriously for around 2 years ^ o ^

i was interested in anime since i was 3 years old because of my older cousins who watch them.

It's great that you've been exposed at quite a young age! I wish I had found about anime formally earlier orz My first anime was Inuyasha when I was 5, but I absolutely had no idea what is was before. My older brother was the one who had introduced me to anime when I was in 2nd grade or something when he showed me Rurouni Kenshin, then I started watching anime that appeared on Cartoon Network like Yu Yu Hakusho and Sailor Moon which made me really interested in anime in general.
Although Shugo Chara! was an entirely different thing. Oh mah goodness, that thing changed my life and how I felt about anime ; u ;

Yup ^ - ^ shugocharablossomKHT on Youtube~ I usually just post speedpaints of some of the pieces I upload here on Deviantart, but not so often since it takes a really long time to upload videos with my internet connection OTL (it disconnects every few hours or less)

i only use ms paint because i would have to download paint tool sai to get it and that might cause my computer to get virus.
and imma gonna get yelled at and get grounded for days....

I find Paint Tool SAI the easiest to work with so I just use that~ (and also because I can't find a proper download for Photoshop orz)
Using MS Paint is fine, but it'll only get you limited results since it primarily just focuses on pixel art o:
Always be careful when downloading things! If you want to get Paint Tool SAI, then I would recommend going on Youtube and searching up something like "How to download Paint Tool SAI for free". Based on the likes/dislikes and comments would you be ensured that it'll most likely be a safe and secure download. But always be catious when going on suspicious sites! Sites like Mediafire, 4shared, Megaupload are for the most part safe.

and I'm pretty sure I didn't when I downloaded? You can get a virus from virtually anything on the internent though if you're not careful with what you're clicking o n o

I'd also like to ask some questions please ~ Since Hanaiko belongs to the Hunter X Hunter fandom and that her love interest is Killua. Do they have a certain relationship (that is if they interact with one another xP)? Like, what does she think of him and what does he think of her? Ohh questions time!
At the beginning, Killua and Hana will argue a lot... He'll criticize her and she'll ignore him, which will end up annoying both of them. Then they'll eventually become friends (quite weird friends since they'll still argue), and Killua will be the one helping Hana, as in, forcing her to accept her flaws, in his own way xD Hana will quickly fall in love with him, but he will only return her love several years later, because I hardly imagine a young Killua loving her xD Hana is 15 when Killua is 13, she's two years older 
Ohh drawing them together? *sparkly eyes* If you're thinking of drawing them at the beginning of their relationship, then they'd be pretty much arguing, at the middle, they'd be good friends who still argue, if you want to draw something romantic, then it would be with an older Killua, like... Killua would be around 16 and Hana 18
