These are her characters from a recent project her and *DemonGemini6 called the Taffetas. It's about how "Veil Taffeta, a man more concerned about fashion than the fact he has risen from the dead, and Gemini, an eccentric ex-sea captain, thought their lives together would be happy and simple; However, the lives they lead instead force them into circumstances of drama, humor, horror, magic, and tragic loss that threaten their dream of a normal life in a modern fantasy world." I found their art, blog, and story a while ago and was astounded by not only the world they created but by the depth of the characters and story.
I think Veil and Gemini are one of those couples that when they're together, nothing else in the world matters. Since they seem like a couple that values each other's presence over, uh, lustful actions. I wanted to reflect Pixar's artist Ricky Nierva artwork for this piece. I tried to reflect his playful child-like colors and spirit in this piece to give their relationship that sense of innocence.

Ohhh too cute! And the composition is amazing. The color contrast really pulls everything together, and I like the bright colors bringing in the focus on the two in the center against all the darker colors in the bg. Two thumbs up :]

OH my god, I'm absolutely speechless over this one! THe thought you put into every single piece of yours is astounding and really makes it shine. Yesenia and I also think Veil and Gem get caught up in themselves, sometimes it's not always a good thing, but in this picture is absolutely is!! eee! I looove the style of this one, i must admit to not knowing the artist you're referencing but I'll be certain to check his work out.
Besides that, you got the characters spot on in this one, and they are. so. cute! XD You have no idea how much these commissions brighten my day, no matter what is going on. Your work in general is fabulous and it's thrilling to see my characters done by your hand. Thank you for all your time and hard work on these. I love the colors, the style, the drawing in general the idea, the poses, the idea, and how you really know the world and characters well. Thank you!
