[Cheerful - noticeably happy and optimistic]
Despite his brute appearance, Ursus is a very cheerful and friendly stallion. He greets with an unintentionally daunting fanged grin, often rocking with laughter in a jolly manner. As he doesn't often get much company, being up in the mountains, he enjoys the opportunity to socialise and greet new travellers with a mood that never seems so be supressed. His jolliness can sometimes be a little overwhelming, but he assures that he is no threat to anyone.

Ursus has an incredible sense of humour and easily starts laughing at the slightest poor joke or unfortunate fellow stuck in a snow drift. His humour is his main weakness, with his lack of maturity and tendencies to fool about. Though, his laughter can be infectious, as his cave can become an echo of chuckling when he has visitors to his abode.

Ursus has quite the knowledge of his environment. Having been raised in an area where cold is ever present and snow is common, he knows just how forbidding and brutal winter can be. Being suited to the climate with his thick fur coat, he has more than once saved other creatures from whiteouts, blizzards and snow drifts. He insists that he's just happy to help anyone who is unfortunate enough to get caught out in the winter weather.

Ursus is a brave soul, having been raised to act so in such a harsh environment. Ursus has been in fights with bears and dire wolves before over food, living to tell the tale each time. History

Ursus was raised by both of his parents, a common occurrence in arctic ballators. However, his mother was quite sickly and thus most of his knowledge of the arctic came from his father who taught him how to survive the harsh winters by hunting seals and oxen and finding his own shelter beneath the snow. One summer, when the ice had melted away and the plants had begun to surface, he left his parents to set out on his own, confident and eager for an adventure on his own. He found himself his own cave, carved away from the side of the mountain, where he could survive nearly all year round. He waits there, hoping that one day he one of his own kind stumbles across his humble abode.
