Description Yearling fox that was killed in a trap intended for a much larger predator. All four feet are gone, it's original tail was 2/3 missing, a new tail in it's place. Ears are torn and there are holes in the thin leather of its belly. Gender unknown, 23-25 inches in length, the fur is still in it's youth length summer coat and very wispy. Whiskers are gone on one side and a pea sized hole in the muzzle is in need of stitching up. Working on finding feet and replacement ears. Not mountable. Much larger than I expected, but it's face is still gentle and kit like, poor thing. The shot at the bottom is to show the size in comparison to a full sized adult fox, measuring in around 53 inches in length.

As with all of my pelts, I collect various color variations of different breeds and ages not for the collectors value, but for the educational and artistic value. While pictures can be great aids, nothing has helped me greater with fur colors/patterning than a pelt seen in life, of which then I can translate later into a costume.

If you wish to leave hateful comments and demonstrations that you have not read any of m actual intentions or how this fox came to be/its future uses, it will only be ignored. Why? So cute and small!
Definitely not a yearling, though. Foxes are fully grown by 6 months, so I'd say it's no more then 3 or 4 months old.

Oh! Well good to know then!I knew each critter aged differently so I was going off of that knowledge. Good to know!

Yeah, foxes grow unbelievably fast! They can often be largely independent and fending for themselves by 4-5 months old!

I am glad he got to a loving owner like you though <3 There are few places better to end up and I am glad he got another chance to be given "life" in sorts.

Little thing, I was honestly expecting smaller but it has such a timid spirit, felt the name "hope" was fitting.
