Description
Was commissioned to totally revamp and reFURbish a head that was sent to me so! Here's what was done:1. Old fur removed along with ears, eyes, nose, and teeth. This head needed to shrink and those piece would be far to large in the end.
2. Whacked the muzzle in 3 pieces, removing the center piece and glued the other two together, shrinking it. Carved down the brow, cheeks, and gave it new ears.
3. Once the base ad been redone, I went to work on the eyes, giving her new following eyes as well as a smaller latex nose. The canines from the original head worked well so I set them into the head.
4. Furring was quick work using the fur sent by the commissioner. White MM fox was airbrushed gray to match properly and then, once everything else was done, I set to work upon wefting a very thick and very poofy stylish mowhawk.
5. Airbrushing and a few finishing details finalized the work and the resulting head was given the following features:
Foam/balaclava base
moving jaw
following toon buckram eyes
super-hawk

Just asking, I've bought plastic canvas mesh for my fursuit eyes. Would it be as good as buckram?

Plastic canvas won't blend like buckram does. Vision will be clearer, but it won't be quite as clean per se. The holes will be visible from any distance.

So buckram would look better than plastic canvas. How much clearer is plastic mesh than buckram?

It would be clearer since the holes are larger, but the buckram would look better since it will be able to provide a more solid surface for colors.

Okay. I think I'll go for buckram. I can use the plastic mesh for something else, maybe a moving jaw!

The trouble with plastic mesh is it breaks down over time and wears out. It's why many people have stopped using it as a head base

The hair doesn't effect the wearers vision any more than the rest if the mask dies so no :3

its an optical illusion. the eye is set farther back in the masks head so there is an edge aruond the eye which make them apper to move, and i havent seen a suit in action either XD

so there is no smal electronic motor in it
i realy cant understand how that is posible... wel last time at work one of the dogs just stood stil infront of his kennel and i was infrond if the back door so he cant run again out of the bulding and he stoped just before entering it and lookt at me and somehow his eyes turned red like in a photo realy pretty scary if you are a believer in good and bad and also signs of good or evil. luckly I'm not
