Description
A pair of dragon boot paws. First time doing anything like this. Outdoor pads, claws are wiggly so a good smack of the foot won't hurt them. I would model them myself but they're a size 8 and I'm a 5 1/2. HahaCommissioned pair. Hand paws to follow.

These look fantastic. ^.^ Is that the sole of a flip flop for the paw pad? dA is being incredibly persnickety with me, otherwise I'd have sent you a note instead of commenting. How sturdy are these, if they're just boots with the heel removed? Do you do any kind of reinforcement, or would it be possible to do so? I'd had a similar idea to this, but just never got around to doing it.

With this particular boot, the arch was already reinforced so I didn't have to do anything. Um no, not from flip flops but from something else. They're pretty darn sturdy. I can't give you accurate answers because I wear a size 5 1/2 and these were 8.

how much would you probably charge, on average, for a commissioned pair of these? 8D i've been pining for a pair of feet like these for a good while, but i could never work up the motivation to make a pair for myself.
alternatively, how easy would you say these are to make on your own? did you extend the height of the toe area in addition to cutting the heel, or were they already that high to begin with? o: and if you did extend it, what material did you use~?

Um, depends if you send me the shoes or not. If sent they'd only be maybe $60, if none sent, $80 (since I'd have to hunt for a pair that'd work just right)
No adding to the toe, just cut the heel off, foamed, and furred.

i was considering making my own pair, but the boots i do have are too low of a heel, i think. they also don't have a zipper.

Zip up. They're a pair of salvaged boots from a second hand store. Leather. So they're nice and clean.^^

I have a white pair similar to these and yes, though I had to practise running without the paws on first, and jumping works, but puts you slightly off balance if you haven't practised
