Description Sorry about the image spam. I'll refrain from submitting this to any groups, myself. I just wanted to put the images together to more closely resemble how I imagined the two pieces while making them.

Ah, see, given the positioning of the circles in each, I saw them as further apart. I thought the blueness in the top left of "Best Friends" was supposed to be from the circles in "Forever." This posing makes more sense.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of the story, though. Is Octavia sad because of Vinyl's vices (drinking and smoking)?

I'm glad you caught that, yes, the circles actually are one and the same! The circles are supposed to represent the music that ties them together. Octavia is focusing on their falling out, and so the circles are almost front and center in her image, while Vinyl is drowning out the feelings with her lifestyle, and as such the circles seem more distant.

Your interpretation of the distance was correct. I breezed over the process in the description, but this image is really not supposed to represent the other two, rather it is an attempt to bring the two images together within the same frame as I see them. To do this I had to change the meaning a bit. I made Vinyl transparent and at the center of the octavia's circles. This reorders the image to octavia's perspective as she imagines Vinyl.

It admittedly was a bit lazy, as it doesn't represent the distance in the original images. If I had more time I would have faced them both away in order reinstate the distance.

You are very insightful!

Ohh, so I was right the first time! Hah, cool. I hadn't realized the symbolism of the circles, but that's really cool. Thanks for the explanation, and keep up the good work!
