Inspired by this little but important segment from the book. (Last descendant)
“ Your grandfather was an assassin once!” Varius shouted, casting his voice several yards away to his left, obscured further by its echoes off the chimmeneys and skylights.
“ He turned on the Brotherhood and the Creed he’d sworn to uphold! He was nothing but a coward and the traitor!”
“ Never a traitor to the truth!” the Hunter shouted. “ He never betrayed the Templar Order!”

hmmm hard to answer tbh.
My motivation was, I assosiate Shay with the raven bird. His ship’s name is Morrigan, ’godess of war’ who was often represented in a form of a raven or human (lady) surrounded/acompanied by the feathery creature(s).
This is why I choosed this type of wings.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to understand what you mean. Y'know for a while I thought that they just ended Shay's story in a bit of mystery in Rogue. That is until I read your quote. Did a bit more reading. Happy to see that there's more to Shay's story after. Thanks.

Yes, Shay had a family, well at least a son and his legacy passed down to Cudgel (g.son) as well. For Shay fans is a delight to read even just a few lines refering to the fearsom templar who almost wiped out the colonial assassins. I personaly wish to know more of the Cormacs and only can hope maybe some future book or a game/dlc would close his /their story nicely. Doubt it thou, their life is in Ubisoft’s hand and they like to make them suffer what makes us sad.
