Daria and Jane of late nineties fame.If you were a teenager, you wanted to be a teenager or were close to becoming one in the late nineties you wanted to live in this TV show and you wanted to be one of the characters. They rocked, basically, and anyone who says they didn't never saw the show.
If anyone has suggestions for a background feel free to suggest one. So far I've thought of adding lockers or trees in the background but I'm unsure of whether adding a background will ruin the simplicity if these character portrayals thus far.

I must agree with your statement that everyone who saw the show prolly wanted to live their lives. But, they were such dark lives...
I think you did really well at portraying Daria and Jane in this picture. The adding of a background would ruin what is being said here, and what the characters themselves would think.
Vision: 5 stars: Characters captured as they should have been.
Originality: 5 stars: A topic I thought was over and done with!!!
Technique: 4 1/2 stars: everyone can improve, but well done!
Impact: 5 stars: Reminds me of a particular episode I saw that had Daria and Jane fighting, but of course, all's well that ends well....

Dark lives are not necessarily a bad thing. I didn't necessarily want their lives but rather their coping mechanisms.

A realism Daria and Jane- pretty damn epic, if I do say so myself. Even being just a kid in the nineties, I still aspired to be Jane Lane

very cool, there seems to be a subliminal interplay going on between them. Background? Nah.. its to perfect as is..unless you want to submerse them up to the waist in a sepia river? Is that hair style even remotely possible...? It should be!
