No wonder the egg was extremely warm and rather small, it wasn't a defect, it was a newly discovered subspecies. The person who found the egg claimed to get them from somewhere south in the sands of Triel.Species- Desert Rikkal

How large are rikkal compared to say, humans?
Are they about the size of a cat or are they bigger? Or can they be as large or small as we want them to be?

For desert Rikkal like this guy, they are about 3' at the shoulder. Really though, it can be above or below the average, though this subspecies can't be over 5ft. You could make it the size of a kitten if you really wanted
