Been working on this for 2 weeks straight. And I can proudly say that I fucking hate birds and I fucking hate drawing wings haha.This piece is a whopping 40 some inches wide all hand drawn and then inked with micron pens.
A little play on the U.S Seal and my thoughts on how we treat the poor.
No need for political arguments, just a feeling I had

I dunno dude. Being poor is not like a birth defect or the color of your skin. Its not something which is totally beyond your ability to do something about. I mean, I know about 85% of life is pretty much beyond our control, but just because youre poor doesnt mean its time to kick back and let someone else take care of you. And we are really not obligated to help anyone except ourselves (an incredibly selfish statement, but fact nonetheless). If you're poor and really dont want to be, you'd start fighting the mexican immigrants for those jobs they take that supposedly no one else wants. We've built up this culture where people are unwilling to settle for anything less than ideal (and Im very guilty of this myself), and I think this has infected even the poor. Well, it hasnt infected the day workers who take whatever job they can no matter how menial or short lived, and its time for the poor to adopt the same attitude. Cause if they did, they'd eventually dig themselves out of being poor (and oh-my-god what would we as a society do with ourselves if that happened?).
I know you didnt want a political discussion, but these are just the thoughts that come to mind when I see this. The victim mentality is exhausting and needs to go away. And Im not just talking about the poor.

Also, those wings are epic. I watched your update posts on facebook, and was cringing at all of the effort the feathers must have taken! Your poor, overworked hands... and overworked PENS!
You must go through those mofos so fast when doing this kind of work. My Staedtler pens seem to last a bit longer, but Microns were smoother.
Vulture neck's wrinkly bits and the skull/crossbones aspects are looking great! I think I need a favorites folder labeled "Badass" so I can properly categorize things like this....

Awesome amount of details on the feathers and the neck/head and yet still such a clear, bold design. I also got the political meaning immediately, so I think it's very well done.

Your feather detail is superb and I am not quite sure how you avoided insanity if this piece is as large as you say. Very well done. The details around the head and neck are quite realistic!
