History:
Born the cousin of Vlad the Impaler in their mortal life, Stephen was fiercely loyal and loved his family to no end. But when the dark days came and the Tepes were spread to the corners of the world and slaughtered, Stephen had been captured by his cousin, Vlad after he had become a vampire. And as such, Vlad in his deranged mind at the time had made Stephen a vampire as well.

But unlike others who had been brought over, Stephen was terrified of what he had become and what his new master had wanted him to become. He fled his homeland until the danger of Draculea had simmered down. For decades he wandered, a hermit. Feeding only when he needed to.

And as time went on, he eventually met a mortal woman whom he fell completely in love with. Her name was Skuld. She had been tall, lithe and dangerous looking. As a human, he wouldn't have given her a second glance but as a vampire, she stirred something in him that wished to be human again. They had lived together for sometime, playing house in the foothills away for the villages so that Stephen could keep up his appearances of being human. At least until one day, she was gone and all that remained was a bloodied rag of a dress she had worn that day.

Upon her "death", Stephen sank into a deep depression. He had lost the love of his life and began to play with the idea of ending his immortal existence. But for some unknown reason, he didn't. He simply returned to his motherland, Romania and found his ancestral home. And after killing the trespassers whom had taken refuge in its walls, Stephen waned his days away until he was discovered by his cousin, Vlad who now took the name "The No Life King" and continued to rule of the vampires. And his children, Shaya and Helena.

And many years later, he discovered that his love, Skuld had bore him a child once in her life. And that daughter of his, though now gone into the next life, had given a granddaughter that he was just starting to know.
