Description 45 Minute painting. I wanted to practice my brush strokes and some anatomy, and Brooklyn seemed like a good, fun subject to do that!

Still trying to get away from this "scribble style" I have going for these speed paintings, but it's getting there.

Hopefully I can continue to accomplish more and more in shorter amounts of time.

The colours look really nice. Brooklyn looks rather threatening - you certainly wouldn't want to be his enemy with him looming over you like that.

Thanks! Practice and you probably can paint like that, I've only just gotten somewhat better at it myself (I try to paint something every day, even if its just for 30 minutes)

My strengths are usually with pencil and paper. But I did have a painting class. I'm just wondering how people get paintings to look so smooth on canvas. Mine always came out rough.

Well i've never actually painted on canvas with real paint myself. I was always just pencil/paper/charcoal almost until I was 25, but then I started learning to digital paint with a tablet. That's the only kind I really do, I'm sure I'd have a hard time with a canvas! I'm also still trying to learn how to get my digital paintings to come out smooth and not scribbly.

I've only used acrylic and water color paints. Neither of them work very well for me. There are times I'd mix paints to get a color then run out of it and I can never make it again. XD

oh yeah I hate that. I do paint warhammer miniatures and that has happened before. Honestly, I love digital painting because it's really easy and flexible. I'll probably never bother with traditional media for that reason, lol

I've never tried digital painting, honestly. Closest I've gotten was photoshop.

ah, I see. I mainly just use it to add color to some of my pics.
