Thanks for the critique, I rendered her in Copic markers, the background is digital. I appreciate you asking for the meaning, because I don't know if I would have looked so deeply at my symbols. I remember events in my life so much more vividly if I've done art, so in many ways my body of work is my autobiography.

Does it need a message? I can tell you I illustrated while my daughter was hospitalized in a catholic hospital. I found the nun images around the hospital to be so very stark. Perhaps it is a plea or offering to the Angel of Death to spare my babygirl. The red cross is the universal symbol for mercy, and blood is symbolic for sacrifice. What are your thoughts? Once I finish a piece it no longer completely belongs to me, it belongs to everyone.

my thoughts at first were that it was reffering to the horror movie "The Rite". But now I see a different message that is close to yours. I'm really sorry for your daughter. I hope she's all better. I really like this piece and now I'm gonna right a critque
