I'm sorry I just wanna be a nerd for a sec: November first is actually all saints day! It's not really celebrated in any particular way anymore BUT children used to dress up as saints and go pray at cemetaries (I don't know how to spell it correctly) then they would go door to door and people would give them cookies! Sounds familiar right? It's what inspired trick or treating to become a Halloween tradition! I thought that was near I'm done nerding now

Yeah that's part of the reason my family doesn't celebrate it (that and the fact my mom doesn't trust us to wander around town without getting run over 😂)
