Now this, THIS is a conceptual piece!

To me, the idea I gather from this drawing is that the book is unfolding the beautiful scene of nature with its tree and by burning the book we are burning away the creativity and imagination and freedom that books can provide. The worlds that we can escape to are disappearing... I think it would have been an extra nice touch if you had included some of the flames and sparks hitting up on the tree and its leaves, but that may just be my experience viewing this piece.

I do like the lighting impacts the tree and the smoke comes swiftly by. I like that you added that burnt and crispy effect to the pages, too, that's a great small detail taken into larger effect.

I like the shadows here too, the darkness around the rest of the tree, as though maybe this is something we're meant to see in secret, as though this shouldn't have happened and yet it is and we feel the pain of the book and its dying misery. Oh no's.

I also like the little flowers and the white dots, it makes the peace romantic in a way and very fantasy-based.
