just a random bambi pic because i havent done any bambi in a while.watercolours, and i actually inked bambi with a paintbrush, something i havent really done before. its a good thing i have a really thin brush for around his eyes.
very splodgy. sorry about that

oOOOHHH my first critique. firstly, thankyou so much for writing this and taking the time to look closely at my art, i really appreciate it^^
secondly, yeah i know what you mean about the branches at the top. would you believe, originally this was meant to be a SPRING picture, but i ended up using too much dark reds and stuff, so the autumn thing was a last minute change. Thats why the top is a bit wishy washy, because i changed it halfway through, and the paper went all ..you know, messed up, it was hard to save it.
Also, half way through, i noticed that the pic was looking really dark and sinister, so i fought to lighten the whole thing, cause the background didnt work with the cute bambi pose.
yeah, i started inking (paiting) around the eyes first, and because i started there, and because they eyes are important, i was extra careful, making thin, dark lines. But as i moved onto the rest of him, i got a bit lazy and made thicker lines, i admit that, lols.
okami was my inspiration, i recently did an okami pic, and loved inking that with a brush, so i wanted to try it with a different character. i suppose its good that you could recognise the okami-ness in this image^^
uh. i think thats most of it covered, thankyou again for the critique, i shall take your points on board during future paintings.

Though I have to say. This looks more like markers for the lines and colored pencils for the coloring. But it also seems that's been said before, so I'm not really bringing much to the table...
