Here are the basics for creating wings like my Despair & Hope Wings stock.It just covers the basics, results will vary like with the preview image in which I increased the brightness & contrast of the bottom wing layer, set the second wing layer to Screen, then moved it up a little bit.
That last part is not in the tutorial!
Ooooo and you got to download the thing...I kinda miss being able to set up a preview then click it for the whole long image in full view.......
Anywho, it can be applied to any program like Photoshop or Gimp. Once you get going, these are easy as pie!

Is it all right if I use the basic outline of the wings on the preview image for a picture because I can't draw wings... at all? =w= Just the basic outline. That's it.

thank you so mcuh for the fact that we can use the tubes you make, I often use them in my art, some times you don't see them very well other times I use them in the front layers but they always fit

Oh, it's not possible anymore then to full view and have the whole image? I wonder why i didn't see it lately... is it one of the new "fixes" of DA?
Btw, with the preview img, if you move the screen up and down, it has a cool effect!!!

I don't think so, the submission page doesn't give me a select preview option when I upload an image, just size on Full View. Maybe I'm missing it somewhere.

Maybe it's the type of file you're uploading, iirc bmp or gif files need a preview, but jpgs do not.

I can DO all the warp, and skew stuff! I just can't draw a set of wings using a hairbrush. Even though that sounds funny.

Paint Shop Pro 9, although you could make them in Gimp, or any other program that supports layers & has basic effects & filters.
