Beautiful. So classic in black and white and such a beautiful self portrait.

Your skin is so pale and perfect, and the makeup is simplistic but totally flattering for this lucid self portrait. I love how your piercings all line up nicely too! I love the tonal subtlety of this piece and the translucent quality within the the eyes. The close crop emphasises the a sense of serenity within the subject. As a self portrait one has to acknowledge the skill and ingenuity of the model in setting up the shot.

I am reminded of some of the great shots of the golden age of Hollywood, evocative of Lombard, Dietrich and Garbo to name but a few. The lighting giving an impression of that style of glamour photography without a sense of the artificial.

A true classic IMO with a quality that beckons the viewer back for more. Not a picture I will tire of.
