Dragon concept for the illustrated novels I am creating. Created with Prismacolor colored pencils and Micron pen in a Strathmore sketchbook. Background texture was then created in Photoshop! I love how this one turned out. 12-27-2013.The idea behind this concept is that the wings, being the strongest forelimbs, would be used in walking upon the ground as well as in flight. The small arms would be reserved for minor movements and fine details (for example, turning clutches of eggs and preening).
