CONFESSIONS OF AN OPTIMIST
Allya is the only daughter of the Grånt family, though she does have an older brother she misses terribly since his departure after their father's death to seek a life of public service as a dashing cavalier. Allya takes care of her mother while her brother is away and she's become accustomed to running a manor house singlehandedly. She has one servant of her own that serves as her friend and sounding board. She often feels she has to tough it out and be positive all the time, even though she's lonely without Allan's company. Finally fed up with the life of a lesser noble -- she embarks on a journey to join her brother so they can adventure together. She leaves her mother in hands of her trusted friend and makes a traveling party of her very own !

After finding her brother and being scolded for leaving their mother alone, Allya admits she's also running from a destiny she doesn't exactly want: an arranged marriage to her childhood bully - Aleister ! Now, convinced of her own capacity to take care of herself - she becomes resourceful and finds a job as a barmaid in the local tavern in an attempt to be independent and follow her desires to seek a life of adventure and excitement. Will it work, or backfire horribly ?
