Thank you!Fairly old doodle. It started as a pencil drawing on lined paper (which is why he's still kinda crunchy looking), and then I loved it and caressed it on my first days off in months, and I got this! I know Axl's guns don't look like that, but I'm sure he's got more than one set of guns. X's got like what, 40 billion leftover boss weapons...? I like this cause I like to see a more masculine Axl (ZOMG BISHONENZ@!@2 KAWAAAAAIIIIIII >.< ) and wrinkled clothes are DEFINATELY a dude thing.
BAZING! Wow, it's like all this Thanksgiving made me some kind of comedic genius! Get it? Cause guys are too lazy to iron their clothes? HAHAHA.
Yeah, I know it's not funny, I wasn't being serious. Just leave me a comment about how the clothing shading came out, and what you like about it and what should be kept in mind for next time, k? I can't wait to see this on a CRT monitor, it looks like hell on my laptop.

I figured, 'if he's got such a big one on his face, which, isn't as easy to hit as an arm or your torso (that is, unless you fight with your face....), i betcha he's got at least a couple more.'. I also figured he wouldn't give a damn if his clothes were wrinkled, so i let myself have fun with wrinklies. Geez, I'm terrible with the assumptions here, eh?

I picture Axl having a lot of badass fantasies, though i'd have to say, yours is best so far XD. I guess that's what happens when you're low on the pecking order, and only semi-employed. I'm sure half his time is spent pestering people or just watching tv alone in his apartment (read: cardboard box).

That is some real good work here. The clothes shading is indeed very good, although you may have gone slightly overboard on the number of wrinkles...

Thank you! I wish I could put this much effort into all my drawings (or as we in southern new England call them, DRARRINGS, I say this only because most of the time I go to type drawings, it ends up drawrings). Shading clothing is one of my biggest hangups, so your compliment means a lot to me ^_^

woah, im absentminded. i was typing and reading your reply again at the same time and i started off saying "no time" insted of "no problem".
anyways, either my wrinlkes are at nasty ugly angles to what they should be, or i get the wrong texture. just the other day i figured out (sortof) how to do leather, but i also discovered to my dismay that it doesnt work on all clothes... and that my eraser hates me. (i do most of my stuff on paper, im not good with the tablet yet, all my lines are squiglly).
how much time did you sink into that succer anyways?
(ps, in eastern canada some of the dummer people and those with funny speach habbits pronounce it dralings. just thought id throw that in there

Wrinkles took me forever to really figure out. What i'm proud of about these wrinkles is that there seems to be a consistent lightsource here. Mostly. >.> I gotta say, leather and metal are the funnest textures, for me anyway. I'd have to say I put about six hours into this, or maybe more. I was highly distracted though, cause my boyfriend was playing the new Metroid next to me, and when he wasn't doing that, he was playing Mario 64 x 4 for the DS. And I had more turkey.... wooooOOooo sleepy x.x

lol. ya, i spend generally 5 hours on a pic, well i did this summer. now it takes me less time, i do less detail but im getting better. ive got a webcomic going... sortof, only 5 pages so far. but 5 frames on a page at 4-5 hours each adds up lol. that and i took a haitus from it for a while while i was with my gf... but that didnt work out (grumble...) so now im back on DA lol.

im no good at metal. i just shade it grey (well since i work in grayscale duh... i ment no texture). i like the leather now but im still just starting to learn how to do it. discovering how to do this leather has the unfortunate side effect of having every coat drawn be leather lol. and some shirts accidently too. lol.
and bleh gamecube. give me a keypad and a mouse and ill clean up
